Academy Difference
Star Dance Academy strives to provide the highest quality dance lessons for the most affordable price in a safe and fun environment. Miss Chantel and her team share their love of dance by teaching all ages various styles of dance including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary/Lyrical, Lifts/Partnering, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Cheer and Acro with dancers as young as 18 months to adults. We love dancing with our recreational dancers, competition dancers, dancers that pursue their dreams of furthering their dance education and making it a profession, and dancers that continue doing it in their later years for fun and exercise. There is a something for everyone here to excel in!
Over the past few years, the SDA competition team has won numerous 1st place titles and other high adjudications at the Royal Dance Competition, Nexstar National Talent Competition, Turn It Up Dance Competition, and BravO! National Dance and Talent Competition. They have also won special judges awards such as “100% Energy,” “Best Teamwork,” “Little Divas,” and “Most Entertaining.” Our studio was also recently awarded for “Best Dance Family.” We cherish this valuable award because we strive to instill this sense of family in everything we do — at Star Dance Academy, we don’t just share in our love for dance; we are a community who supports each other in all we do. We have been awarded “Best Dance School” 4 consecutive years in a row and we would love for you to join our dance family!

“I've been taking adult dance classes at Star Dance Academy for the past two dance seasons. Prior to that, I learned about SDA when I performed in a musical that was choreographed by Miss Chantel. I had often struggled with dance, but Miss Chantel is just a phenomenal teacher and made learning the choreo so much fun! I looked forward to every dance rehearsal, which was new for me! Once the show was over, I wanted to keep improving my dance skills, so I took an Adult Tap class, and now this season I've been taking Adult Hip Hop virtually. Both classes have been tons of fun, great exercise, and have really improved my dancing abilities. Miss Chantel and her staff are great teachers, and I would highly recommend anyone of any age to try out dancing at SDA!”

My daughter has danced various styles with Miss Chantel for several years including hip hop, tap, contemporary, ballet, and musical theater. She ended up loving them all because of the passion the instructors have for dance and their students. She also seized the opportunity to develop leadership skills through teacher assistant positions that were valuable assets on her college applications. The competition teams were a fun adventure. She loves the studio so much she has stayed on to take classes even while away at college via zoom. I appreciate the adult offerings especially the Barre class.
